It seems like the only time that i "find time" to blog is when i'm under pressure to finish a project, this time i have 5 projects to do...

Above is the first lemon i painted for Stephen Appleby-Barr's drawing & painting class. it was an utter disappointment. he wasn't mean about it but i think what he was trying to say was "learn2paint or gtfo", and so that week he said "MOAR LEMONS!" except we had to paint more like Lucien Freud. the following week i got THIS THING:

yes, i'm aware it looks like all the citric fruits had an orgy and this thing came out...

3 icons i had to make for Media Studio 2 with Joel Castillo. It was some stuff about situational icons, silhouettes, and something else.. honestly i didnt really read the assignment outline all the way. BUT i did manage to read the part about different categories, one of which being fashion. pretty self explanatory... i hope.

i havent been updating this thang b/c i got no work i wanna put up and life has just been hella fucking busy. and of all days i manage to update today with roughs, 2 journal assignments and a final all tmrw morning. hopefully after all this nonsense is over i'll still be motivated to not half-ass my life.

Juxtaposition - its a muffintop! some sort of a self conscious thing but w/e muffintops need no explanation! ballpoint pen on board
Mythological Beast - This is not really Baphomet but it kinda is... i guess with the horns and all. First time using oil paint... they werent kidding when they said it dries fucking slow -.- oil, acrylic on cardboard x.x
Little Mermaid - the real story is depressing but anyways this is the little mermaid taken in by the sea and turning into seafoam b/c shes super emo right now. charcoal on board.

Another piece for JC's class where i had to recreate the cover for Life of Pi, pretty self explanatory.

For my core concept illustration class where JC gave us a list of elements and some annoying dimensions to create interesting composition. Elements here: a bear scratching his back, old man knitting, and a storm. I "missed the mark" but i still like it :)
